A new update has emerged on the status of WWE Raw star Braun Strowman, following his major surgery.
Following reports about Strowman’s procedure, the heavyweight star confirmed that he had undergone neck fusion surgery with an Instagram post on June 2.
Strowman hasn’t provided an update on his condition since noting that he’s recovering from a level one fusion of his c4/c5 vertebrae in a procedure with Andrews Sports Medicine.
Per PWInsider, Strowman was released from hospital on Monday (June 5) following his surgery.
The report noted that there’s no official word on his return to action, but it is believed that Strowman won’t return to the ring ‘anytime in the near future.’
Previous reports had indicated that Strowman had been added to WWE’s internal injury list ahead of his surgery, meaning that he was off the board for creative pitches before his procedure.
Strowman last wrestled on the May 1 edition of Raw, teaming with Ricochet to defeat Otis & Chad Gable.
According to PWInsider, there was a lot of sympathy for Strowman backstage at Monday’s Raw taping, as he’s ‘well liked’ within the locker-room.
We will continue to provide updates on Braun Strowman as they become available.
