Here is the latest on Bray Wyatt’s status, following rumors that the former WWE star could appear on AEW Dynamite tonight.
Recent reports that Wyatt had the opportunity to waive his 90-day non-compete clause seemed to fuel speculation that Wyatt would debut for AEW during this week’s Rochester show, paying tribute to Brodie Lee in Lee’s hometown.
As per Fightful Select (subscription required), individuals they spoke to hadn’t heard any plans for a Wyatt appearance mentioned.
The report also noted that sources close to Wyatt believe the former Universal Champion is under the standard 90-day non-compete clause. It was noted that Wyatt is a very private person, so the sources aren’t 100% positive of his WWE status.
Wyatt was released by WWE on July 31. With a 90-day clause, the former WWE Champion wouldn’t become a free agent until the end of October. Wyatt recently hinted that he will break his silence about a number of WWE issues soon.
AEW President Tony Khan has announced that tonight’s edition of Dynamite will be dedicated to the legacy of Brodie Lee.
