Bray Wyatt’s First Feud Back In WWE Revealed

Bray Wyatt made his incredible return to WWE at the end of the Extreme Rules premium live event on October 8.

Wyatt’s arrival came after weeks of buzz surrounding ‘White Rabbit’ mysteries, but since his arrival he has yet to step into the ring.

Wyatt has cut several promos where he was interrupted by his ‘Uncle Howdy’, but has yet to target any specific wrestler, until last night’s SmackDown.

Bray Wyatt has not wrestled a match since his return to WWE at the end of the Extreme Rules event.

Wyatt’s imagery was appearing behind LA Knight during a backstage interview, which was addressed by Knight.

Knight told the tech guys to fix the screen, and that this was his interview, not Bray’s, before Bray then walked into frame and took part in a back and forth with LA Knight.

Knight himself is still finding his footing on SmackDown after his betrayal of the Maximum Male Models to return to his NXT name and character last month.

Update On WWE’s Plans For WrestleMania 39

It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to gear up for WrestleMania season, but the end of a rollercoaster year is approaching fast.

Next year’s event is set to take place in Los Angeles, California in April, and with WrestleMania once again emanating from Hollywood, WWE has big plans for the show.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the Hollywood theme of WrestleMania next year has WWE hoping to have a lot of celebrity involvement across the two nights of the show.

WWE Hall of Famer Snoop Dogg attended the WrestleMania launch party alongside Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair earlier this year.

Furthermore, the belief is that WWE co-CEO Nick Khan has a lot of connections in the worlds of sports and entertainment, so would likely be able to get some agreements done.

WWE has been hoping to get the Rock in for the show for a potential dream clash against Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, but that has not yet been confirmed.

Last year’s WrestleMania featured both Logan Paul and Johnny Knoxville in action, with both of their performances being praised heavily by fans.

Another Released WWE Star Returns On SmackDown

Another recently released WWE star made their return to the company on last night’s episode of SmackDown.

On the show, Zelina Vega of Legado Del Fantasma was scheduled to take on B-Fab of Hit Row in what was scheduled to be B-Fab’s in-ring debut on the brand.

The match never got started however, as the Viking Raiders made their return after weeks of vignettes teasing their return alongside a mysterious woman.

The Viking Raiders made their return alongside Sarah Logan on last night's SmackDown.

The woman was revealed to be former WWE star Sarah Logan, the real life wife of Erik, sporting a new look. The Vikings laid waste to Hit Row and Legado Del Fantasma upon their return.

Sarah Logan was released from WWE back in April 2020. Since her release, she did not wrestle for any other promotions, taking time off to have her and Erik’s first child.

Logan’s return marks the latest in a run of women’s division returns that Triple H is hoping will add more depth to the division.

The Viking Raiders have not been on WWE television since they defeated the New Day in a Viking Rules match on the September 2 episode of SmackDown, with Erik being sidelined due to an injury.

Other Stuff

Last night’s SmackDown also saw the start of the SmackDown World Cup. The first two matches of the tournament saw Santos Escobar and Braun Strowman advance following victories over Shinsuke Nakamura and Jinder Mahal respectively. The final two first round matches are set for next week, with Sami Zayn taking on Butch and Ricochet taking on Mustafa Ali.

The Usos defeated the New Day to become the new longest reigning Tag Team Champions in WWE history to kick off the show, with the Bloodline returning to the ring to close the show, only to be interrupted by Butch, Ridge Holland, a returning Sheamus and Drew McIntyre, seemingly setting up WarGames at Survivor Series.

Last night also saw AEW announce on Rampage that Jungle Boy Jack Perry and Luchasaurus will go one on one at Full Gear in a Steel Cage match.

The show saw Brian Cage and Bandido advance in the AEW World Championship Eliminator Tournament with wins over Dante Martin and Rush respectively, as well as Nyla Rose defeating Kayla Sparks and Orange Cassidy defeating Lee Johnson in an All-Atlantic Championship bout.

According to WrestleVotes, Triple H was originally not sold on the Judgment Day faction, and didn’t know if they would remain together, but the group’s work over the past few weeks has led to him changing his mind, and the group will likely remain together for longer than expected.

PWInsider revealed yesterday that WWE is not expecting Tommaso Ciampa to return from his injuries before the end of the year.

The Judgment Day have become a focal point of Monday Night Raw in recent months following the change in WWE regime.

It also seems like Natalya is set to be out of action for a little while, with her taking time off for surgery which will likely see her miss the 2023 Royal Rumble.

One WWE star who is set to return soon is NXT’s Tiffany Stratton, who has been out of action with a head injury since her Lights Out match against Wendy Choo.

Another WWE star who is set to return soon is Bobby Roode, who was backstage at last night’s SmackDown show. Roode has been out of action for many months now, and is reportedly slated to return to the SmackDown brand when he is ready, breaking up his Dirty Dawgs team with Dolph Ziggler.

WWE is reportedly considering giving a private tryout to independent wrestling star KC Navarro.

And congratulations are in order for IMPACT Wrestling stars Steve Maclin and Deonna Purrazzo, who got married on Thursday night.
