UPDATE – An update on CM Punk’s status for tonight’s AEW Dynamite after suffering a serious injury at All Out has been revealed – read more at this link.
It looks like yet another AEW name involved in the post-All Out backstage fight has been suspended.
As previously mentioned, CM Punk and Ace Steel were involved in a backstage altercation with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks following Punk’s comments at the post-All Out media scrum.
Steven Muehlhausen of DAZN provided an update, confirming that Ace Steel is suspended from this incident.
He tweeted:
Sources: Keep getting asked about CM Punk. Here’s what I know: Tony Khan met w/Punk in Chicago on Tuesday. The talk “was constructive”. What that means who knows but Steel being suspended is being seen as a sign he won’t be fired. He still could be. Lot of moving parts still.
Earlier today, Sports Illustrated released an article stating that several AEW stars were suspended following the backstage fight, including Kenny Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson, Pat Buck, Brandon Cutler, Michael Nakazawa and Christopher Daniels.
The early indications had many believing that Ace Steel looked on his way out of the company, but this suspension is a sign that will not be the case.
We will have further updates on this ongoing fallout when they become available.
