It’s news we expected, but it’s still heartbreaking to hear that a body has washed up on Venice beach where former WWE star Shad Gaspard went missing earlier this week after being caught in a riptide.
Divers and lifeguards have spent countless hours trying to locate Shad, and abc7 is now reporting that a body has been located.
In an update, investigators are now reportedly saying that the person found matches the description of Shad Gaspard.

We must stress that no formal identification has taken place, so we cannot confirm whether the body is Shad Gaspard at this time.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the area near Lifeguard Tower 26 at Venice Beach early on Wednesday morning after being contacted by LAPD.
Gaspard’s son was also in the water when his father was swept away, but was thankfully rescued by lifeguards and he did not require hospital treatment.
We will update this story as soon as a formal identification has taken place.
