As per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Daniel Bryan has re-signed with WWE.
Though Bryan signed the contract in the last couple of days, it hasn’t been made official as WWE have yet to sign on the dotted line. It is expected they will do so before the weekend.
The situation surrounding Daniel Bryan’s contract has been up in the air for some time now, with the talent stating in numerous interviews that he was always 90% likely to stay. This ties in with WWE sanctioning 2K to create a Showcase Mode based on his career. They wouldn’t have done so had they not been confident of his re-signing.
This how now led to speculation that WWE are planning on rewarding his loyalty with another underdog championship run. This one would, of course, last longer than his previous achievement.
Daniel Bryan will team with wife Brie Bella to face the Miz and Maryse at Hell in a Cell on September 16.
