NXT UK TakeOver Confirmed

We reported earlier this week that WWE was expected to announce the first NXT UK TakeOver event coming soon, and now we have confirmation.

Although WWE are yet to announce this officially, ticket website Eventim lists NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool on January 13, 2019 at the Empress Ballroom. It is the same venue (and the anniversary of) as the inaugural UK tournament that was so well-received.

The website also lists a date in the same venue on January 12 called “NXT UK Live: The Aftermath“. However, given the name we would suggest that the website has its info wrong and the two shows are the wrong way around.

Expect official confirmation later tonight when NXT UK tapes the upcoming episodes of the NXT UK TV show from the Olympia in Liverpool.

 

***UPDATE***

WWE confirmed the event at the Liverpool NXT UK tapings. Triple H announced that NXT UK would go back to where it started with TakeOver: Blackpool live on the WWE Network on January 12 and TV tapings in the same venue the following evening. The first match was confirmed at the Liverpool tapings.
