At long last, The Revival has been granted their releases from WWE. After a year of waiting, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are free to leave WWE and pursue other ventures.
WWE announced the releases today on Twitter.

If full, the release on WWE.com reads as follows:
“Effective today, Friday April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
Wilder and Dawson have seemed destined to join All Elite Wrestling for the last year. They have reportedly been unhappy with the way they have been utilized on the main roster as tag teams have not been a focus of WWE’s as of late.
They also have a history with the Young Bucks. After some social media banter, the two teams declared that one day they would have a match. This was before the Young Bucks had a wrestling company to call their own. Now it seems likely that Wilder and Dawson will end up in AEW at some point.
Wilder and Dawson came up through the NXT system, becoming the first two-time NXT Tag Team Champions. They developed a reputation in NXT, having great matches with teams like American Alpha and DIY. Since coming up to the main roster they have been plagued by injuries and poor booking, leading to their push being halted.
