In a shock, WWE has released Zelina Vega. The news broke the evening of November 13 as WWE posted the update on WWE.com. The update only says that they wish her well in her future endeavors.
Mere minutes before her release was announced, Vega tweeted that she supported unionization. Vega is very big on Twitch and was one of the more publicized cases of WWE’s third party ban, which included Twitch.
I support unionization.

Vega debuted in NXT as the business partner of Andrade ‘Cien’ Almas in 2017. During their time in NXT she managed him to the NXT Championship before they were called up to the main roster. Since then they had highs and lows before being split up a couple of months ago when Vega started a program with Raw Women’s Champion Asuka.
Vega’s final match in WWE came on last week’s SmackDown as she lost a Triple Threat match to Ruby Riott. That match also featured Natalya.
Vega is also married to WWE star Aleister Black. Whether this release will affect him in any way is still unclear.
We will keep you updated on this situation as soon as new information becomes available.
