WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has named who he considers ‘the best tag team today.’
In an Instagram post, the Hitman named former Raw, SmackDown and AEW Tag Team Champions FTR as his top pick.
The post featured a friendly backstage pic of Hart with FTR members, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler.
The team were originally put together as by fellow WWE Hall of Famer, the late Dusty Rhodes, ahead of their television debut on NXT during July 2014.
After becoming NXT champions, Harwood and Wheeler (then named Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder) climbed their way up to the main roster, holding the tag team titles for the red and blue brands on separate occasions.
FTR, then known as the Revival, reportedly requested their release from WWE in January 2019. This was later granted in April 2020.
Harwood and Wheeler wasted no time and made their debut on AEW, this time styled as FTR, on the May 27, 2020 edition of Dynamite.
Soon after, they became the AEW World Tag Team Champions by defeating Kenny Omega and Adam Page at AEW All Out on September 5, 2020.
FTR became an unstoppable tag team presence, securing the AAA Tag Team Title in 2021, followed by the ROH World Tag Team Title and the IWGP Tag Team Championship from NJPW during the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door special event on June 26, 2022, and they still currently hold all three titles.
Hart notably accompanied FTR to the ring for their match against Homicide & Jay Lethal at the October 22 Big Time Wrestling event and has acted as manager for the tag team at several shows on the independent circuit.

Bret Hart’s post comes after recent comments that he was “surprised” that WWE released FTR, which you can read more on right here.
It was recently announced that FTR will be appearing at NJPW Battle Autumn on November 5, 2022, where they will be facing mystery opponents.
FTR are also set to face Swerve In Our Glory on this week’s October 26 AEW Dynamite to determine the next challengers to the Acclaimed’s AEW World Tag Team Championship.
