Bret Hart has revealed the origin of the Hart Attack finisher used by himself and Jim Neidhart during their time as a tag team.
Appearing on WWE’s The Bump, Hart talked about how he and Neidhart were able to put together strong tag team moves as The Hart Foundation. One of which was their finisher, the Hart Attack. Here is the quote, courtesy of Wrestling Inc.:
“You know, it came from me using a running clothesline in Calgary. I remember thinking about it, and it was a lot of things Jim and I did. Jim was a 280-pound man. To launch him like a missile, you know, 10-15 feet across the ring, was a serious consequence. So many things we did as a team including, the Hart Attack, were great team wrestling.”
Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart were a top tag team in WWE for several years during the late 80s. The duo won the WWE Tag Team Championship twice during that period.
They were also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a team as part of the class of 2019. Neidhart’s daughter Natalya was also part of the ceremony.
