WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has named a current WWE star he wishes he had the chance to wrestle, following his storied career.

Recently receiving the first ever Hall of Fame Immortal Moment award, Hart is one of the most celebrated WWE legends, with many believing he truly is the best there ever will be.

Speaking on the Ringer Wrestling Show, Hart noted that he wishes he could’ve wrestled someone like Rey Mysterio in his prime to experience the lucha libre style.

Bret Hart explained:

“There’s all kinds of different styles and different … you know, I wish I could have wrestled someone like Rey Mysterio. I never really wrestled a Lucha Libre style guy.

“I would love to have done some stuff, especially if I was a bad guy. I would’ve loved to have worked with Rey, although I did wrestle Owen (Hart) and did a lot of high-flying stuff.

“You know, I was always a guy that liked a good challenge.”

Bret Hart and Rey Mysterio shared the ring for a match once, teaming together alongside Edge (AEW’s Cope) to defeat Alberto Del Rio, Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre at a WWE house show in November 2010.

While Rey Mysterio is an active member of the WWE roster, he’s also a Hall of Famer, inducted during the 2023 ceremony.
