WWE Hall of Famer Bret Hart has commented on his WWE Monday Night Raw appearance in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
On the September 9 edition of Monday Night Raw, Bret Hart made his return to WWE television in his hometown of Calgary.
The segment featured World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER interrupting to insult and disrespect Hart by saying his rival Bill Goldberg is his favorite wrestler. This led to Sami Zayn coming down to defend GUNTHER and show respect to his fellow Canadian and childhood hero.
Speaking on The Wrestling Classic at the Vancity Card Show in Vancouver, Bret Hart explained that his WWE Raw appearance came together with just a few days notice. He said:
“Maybe four or five days ahead of time. I found out — they called and asked me if I wanted to go down. I was like, ‘What else am I doing?’ But, yeah, it was really special,”
“I didn’t expect that kind of reaction. Of course, it’s been a long time since I walked out in front of a Calgary crowd.”
Bret Hart previously reflected on “magical” WWE Raw return and experience with Triple H backstage, which you can read here.
