Brian Kendrick Wants To Help Younger Talent Learn From His Mistakes WWE

Brian Kendrick has referenced his past actions, noting that he wants to help others avoid making the same mistakes he made.

Following Kendrick’s WWE departure on February 1, the star was announced for a match against Jon Moxley on the next night’s edition of Dynamite.

This bout was pulled from the show ahead of the live episode however, after clips of Kendrick discussing conspiracy theories related to various topics including the Holocaust around a decade ago resurfaced.

On  Icons of Sports Entertainment, Kendrick was asked if he has a specific piece of advice he’d give his younger self.

Kendrick replied:

“I wouldn’t give the advice to me because I don’t want to change my life. I’d be happy to help kids learn from my mistakes.

“I don’t wish I was in AJ Styles’ shoes because this is the path that I’m supposed to be on, but what AJ has done right, what all these guys have done right, where I have failed, what I would tell them is, you can’t allow yourself any excuses.

“You have to put in the work. What I would tell young me is that, for me, my attitude, hubris, all of that have led to downfalls over and over again.

“I’ve had to pick myself up and start over several times in pro wrestling.

“Sometimes, it’s because of a lack of humility.”

Kendrick notably made his backstage return at the November 26 Survivor Series WarGames show.

The former Cruiserweight Champion was listed as a producer for the Ronda Rousey vs Shotzi SmackDown Women’s Title bout.
