Brie & Nikki Bella Reflect On WWE Raw Match Against Roxanne Perez WWE

Brie and Nikki Bella have reflected on Nikki’s match against Roxanne Perez on this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw in Anaheim.

It was Nikki’s first match since she faced Asuka on September 8.

On the latest Bella Twins podcast episode, Nikki and Brie discussed the match with Brie asking Nikki how it felt, and Nikki replying:

“It felt great. What I love is, every time I go out there, I’m being pushed harder, I’m learning more about myself in this era, and I sit and watch and I get feedback from you (Brie) and Bryan for myself, and I know what I need to do next, and how I need to improve even more, the little things I could change.

“But I was so proud of Monday and I got a lot of great feedback. Your girl was trending number one worldwide. But even besides that, there’s just a lot of moments for me where I continue to push myself out of my comfort zone.

“I wanted to bring in more moves and challenge myself, and things that I used to do. I’m going against someone with a 20 year difference.”

Further discussing the age difference in the match on WWE Raw, with Nikki being 41 and Perez being 23, Brie said:

“I think it’s incredible, and it’s nice for women of my age and older, and even women who are coming up on 40, to see a woman on television competing against people in their youth, in their 20s. It’s nice to see that. It feels good.

“When I see a lot of people cheer people on or say, ‘This is my favorite actress’ or whatever, there’s some similarity in that person that they feel they share with, and that’s why they get connected.

“So you’re doing it for all of us mommas and we love it.”

Nikki then added:

“There’ll come a time where I don’t even have to talk about age much, but it’s there, it’s professional sport.

“But what I love is just for myself, I get to continue to see me grow, get better, keep bringing it up another notch, and I know what I’m gonna do next week for the tag match.

“I know the things that I’m gonna work on this week in the gym and in training, and I know the changes I’ll make.”
