Britt Baker has addressed her AEW absence following her loss to Mercedes Mone at All In London on August 25.
After missing almost a year of action, Britt Baker made her return to AEW at the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in June, immediately progressing into a feud with TBS and NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion Mercedes Mone.
The rivalry culminated at AEW All In London 2024, with Mone retaining her TBS Championship in what was a first-ever meeting between the two stars.
Since that match however, Baker once again vanished from TV and in a recent interview with TVInsider would be asked for an explanation regarding her absence.
Baker said:
“I guess in a lot of ways I can’t other than I lost, so back of the line. I can’t think of how many times I’ve said that to girls in my promos when I was champion. Back of the line. It’s a harsh reality when you’re in that position.”
Baker returns to the ring at tonight’s AEW Dynamite Five-Year Anniversary show, facing off against Serena Deeb one-on-one.
