Britt Baker Comments On Heat With Thunder Rosa, Rosa Seemingly Responds AEW

Britt Baker has commented on her backstage heat with Thunder Rosa, and in light of a new tweet, Thunder Rosa has seemingly responded.

Previously it was reported that there was some backstage heat between Thunder Rosa, Britt Baker and Jamie Hayter.

The heat seemed to intensify following Rosa’s hiatus from AEW while she continues to recover from a back injury that saw her step down from defending her AEW Women’s World Championship against Toni Storm at AEW All Out.

While speaking to Swerve Strickland on the SwerveCity Podcast, the Baker made a point of saying that she had not missed any televised appearances despite having to deal with multiple injuries.

Britt Baker said:

“I never missed any episodes of TV, with every like broken bone and injury. I’m just sayin’. What bone have I not broken at this point? My leg, my nose twice now, my wrist, the concussion, and I was at work every week because that is where I wanted to be.

“I had my nose surgery on a Monday, Dynamite was on a Wednesday, and I was there cutting a promo. Because I wanted to be.

“Tony (Khan) is the most caring and wonderful guy. But I was like this is an opportunity, I’m going to have a black eye, I’m sick in the head and thought I’m going to look cool.”

When asked about Rosa directly, Baker confirmed that the two do not get along but thought the tension added to in-ring dynamics.

Baker continued:

“It is kind of like The Batman and Joker, like one needs the other for the success story to happen. We don’t like each other. There’s always tension but that tension makes good TV. So, I still think it’s my division.”

Thunder Rosa posted to her Twitter on October 27, simply saying “I thank y’all for the support, I know where I stand. .-TR”

It is not confirmed what exactly this tweet is referring to, but many fans have taken it as a response to Britt Baker’s comments.

Recently Thunder Rosa shared an update with Busted Open Radio and said that she was continuing to work through the recovery process and hoped to be well enough to make an in-ring return in January 2023.

Rosa also addressed comments made by the interim Women’s World Champion, Toni Storm, where Storm said she was looking to drop the ‘interim’ status from her title soon. You can read Thunder Rosa’s response right here.

No date has been set for Thunder Rosa’s return, but Tony Khan has confirmed that when she does, there will be a match between Rosa and Toni Storm to unify the title (providing Storm is still interim champion at that point).

During her conversation with Swerve, Britt Baker also called out what she called ‘toxic locker room’ behavior but was careful to not name any names.
