Despite all the signs pointing to Brock Lesnar leaving WWE for UFC shortly after SummerSlam, there is speculation that he may return to the company in time for WrestleMania 35 next year which will take place at the MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey.
Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated is reporting that despite Lesnar’s imminent departure, he may be returning to the squared circle to face off against Braun Strowman at next year’s ‘Show of Shows’. This is pure speculation so do take this with a pinch of salt, yet a properly booked rematch of the No Mercy encounter does sound quite appealing.
This isn’t the first time this year it seems certain that Lesnar will be leaving. The same sentiments were true around WrestleMania season in April. As we know though, the WWE Universal Champion retained his belt against Roman Reigns. Could the same thing happen again at SummerSlam? We’ll have to see on August 19.
