Brock Lesnar BACKSTAGE INCIDENT At WrestleMania?

WrestleMania 34 will go down in history as one of the most surprising WWE shows of all time. Sadly, that’s not necessarily a good thing.

Jinder Mahal winning the WWE United States Championship, Asuka’s streak coming to an end, Braun Strowman winning the WWE Raw Tag Team Championships with a 10-year-old boy, there were plenty of moments on last night’s show that left viewers with their eyes wide and their jaws on the floor.

Perhaps the most shocking moment came at the end of the night, when Brock Lesnar pinned a bloody Roman Reigns to retain his WWE Universal Championship, despite a year of speculation that the ‘Big Dog’ was finally going to slay the ‘Beast’ on the ‘Grandest Stage of Them All’.

All the signs pointed to a Lesnar loss – the Wrestling Observer was reporting as far back as last WrestleMania that Reigns winning the title was the planned finish to the event. Also, Brock Lesnar’s contract reportedly came to an end on the night of ‘Mania and Dana White, President of the UFC, all but confirmed that the ‘Beast’ was making a return to the Octagon.

What’s going on with Lesnar and the Universal title is one of the biggest talking points in wrestling right now and, according to a very reliable source, this story took another interesting turn after WrestleMania 34 went off the air.

According to WrestleVotes, the twitter account that has broken such wrestling news stories as Neville walking out on WWE, Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon had a backstage “incident” at last night’s ‘Showcase of the Immortals’.

Latest update on Brock Lesnar and Vince McMahon contract ...

According to two tweets posted by WrestleVotes, the incident wasn’t “physical” and was “mostly just a loud yelling event” after Brock “said something to Vince and it escalated.”

Whilst we currently have no further details of what happened, this could have something to do with Brock’s frustration at his creative direction in WWE. If Lesnar wants to go back to the UFC, then it’s likely he would have wanted to drop the belt to Reigns that night, so he could leave WWE as soon as his contract was up.

This is still a breaking news story at the moment and could all lead to nothing, but, in the incredibly volatile world of WWE (especially when Brock Lesnar is involved), things like this are hardly ever over nothing.
