Brock Lesnar Booking Plans REVEALED?

It seems that WWE is intent on going back to the well with regards to their booking of Brock Lesnar.

In an act that Albert Einstein would consider an act of madness, they promotion is repeating the same tactic with Lesnar that they tried before WrestleMania, trying to give the impression that he is returning to UFC and is having contract issues with WWE. The idea is to turn people against Brock by portraying him as someone who does not care about the fans, which they hope will result in them cheering for Roman Reigns.

It won’t.

The promotion used that as an excuse to seemingly change the Extreme Rules main event from a proposed six-pack challenge to a singles bout between Lashley and Roman Reigns with a title shot against Brock at SummerSlam up for grabs, though that may yet change.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Reigns is expected to emerge from Extreme Rules as the new number one contender, regardless of what the match to get there ends up being, and will meet Brock for the third time on pay-per-view this year at SummerSlam.

What happens in that match is anyone’s guess. Reigns was originally set to defeat Lesnar at WrestleMania until Vince McMahon changed his mind and opted to swerve the audience. Lesnar signed a short-term extension that was speculated to end at the Greatest Royal Rumble with defeat to Roman in a cage match, but again Lesnar emerged with his hand raised, albeit in controversial fashion.

With Brock’s future still uncertain, it is difficult to predict what WWE will do when the pair meet at SummerSlam. Lesnar is yet to enter the USADA testing pool, something he MUST do if he is to return to fight in UFC this year. He only has until June 30 to do so. If he does not then Brock is not going anywhere in 2018 and may well be allowed to keep the Universal Title though to next year.

If Roman wins at SummerSlam, there is much speculation that WWE – having achieved the goal of putting him over Brock – will counter the inevitable wave of negativity by having Braun Strowman cash in his Money in the Bank contract on Reigns, beating him to end the show as champion and setting up a program between Braun and Roman for the remainder of 2018.
