Brock Lesnar Breaks Character To Praise Pat McAfee’s Commentary

Brock Lesnar has seemed happier than we’ve ever seen him recently, and that didn’t change during his appearance on the Pat McAfee Show today.

Lesnar was all fun and games, joking around with McAfee and co on the show, but he did make a point of throwing some praise McAfee’s way.

With Lesnar applauding McAfee for his work on commentary, here’s how the exchange went down between the two:

McAfee: “I got to meet you obviously at a WWE event backstage, and you had this aura around you backstage, because you’ve been around for so long, you’re OG over there, and everybody has the utmost respect. And I remember just going like, ‘Holy f**k, Brock Lesnar’s here.

“And I remember walking over and introducing myself because I felt like it was the right thing to do, and you were f**king awesome, you have been so nice to me through this entire thing, and I appreciate you stopping by before Raw tonight boss.”

Lesnar: “I appreciate it man, and I was a big fan of yours, and it was an honor to meet you, and I just got a good vibe. You know how you get a good vibe when you get good handshakes, good people…

“I have to tell you though, you make the show. Friday nights, your color commentary is bar none the best.”

Lesnar’s opinion of McAfee’s work behind the desk is one shared by the overwhelming majority of fans, with McAfee injecting life into WWE’s often-otherwise-lifeless segments and matches on SmackDown.

Speaking of Brock Lesnar, he’ll be appearing on tonight’s episode of Raw, just six days before he steps into the WWE Championship Elimination Chamber match in Saudi Arabia this Saturday.

Including his Royal Rumble win, Lesnar’s win/loss record so far this year currently stands at 2-1. You can find win/loss records for everyone on the WWE main roster at this link.
