Brock Lesnar has now commented on a potential dream match with WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.
It was reported in late 2022 that there had been discussions regarding a possible Lesnar vs GUNTHER showdown at WrestleMania 39.
While this ultimately didn’t happen, the two heavyweights had a brief face off in the 2023 Royal Rumble in January.
In an interview with Daniel Cormier, Lesnar confirmed that he’s interested in having this match.
When asked if he’d like to work with GUNTHER, Lesnar said:
“I do. I don’t really care… it was just proposed (the Royal Rumble spot), and I don’t know if I don’t make the calls around here.
“It’s just one of those things. When this was proposed to me, I liked it because I like the challenge, and I like the matchup.”
At WrestleMania 39, GUNTHER defended his Intercontinental Championship against Drew McIntyre and Sheamus in a three-way bout.
GUNTHER has now fuelled speculation about the eventual end of his reign, questioning whether the next Intercontinental Champion has even arrived in WWE yet.
