That’s right. Brock Lesnar is back, and he’s back to ruin the main event of Hell in a Cell.
The match was going very well, with both Roman and Braun trading blows. Then came the inevitable Dolph and Drew attempted interference which was thwarted by Dean and Seth.
A cell top brawl then ensued between the two tag teams. which culminated in Seth and Dolph going through a table after falling from the side of the cell.
Cue Brock Lesnar.
There were rumours throughout the evening that he had been spotted backstage, so in some ways this wasn’t a surprise.
If he had simply run down, attacked the men in the ring and left, leaving a message but allowing the match to continue, that would have been fine.
However, despite this being a no disqualification match, the referee called for the bell after Paul Heyman attacked Mick Foley with pepper spray.
Why does no DQ never mean no DQ? It’s such a pointless stipulation if it’s never adhered to.
Anyway, I guess this means Braun never lost his title shot, and we’ll be getting some kind of triple threat down the line, presumably at Super Showdown or when WWE returns to the BEAUTIFUL CITY OF JEDDAH in November.
