Brock Lesnar made his return to WWE television for the first time in two years to close out tonight’s WWE SummerSlam event.

Brock Lesnar last appeared at WWE SummerSlam in 2023, when he was defeated by Cody Rhodes on the show, with him not appearing on television for two years.

Lesnar was scheduled for a return to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble, but was pulled from the show due to being referred to in the sexual abuse and trafficking lawsuit against Vince McMahon and WWE that was filed days prior. Tonight’s SummerSlam show saw Cody Rhodes and John Cena main event for the Undisputed WWE Championship in a Street Fight, with Cody defeating Cena to win the title.

Cody and Cena would share a moment after the match, with Cody leaving Cena in the ring to celebrate with the fans, before Brock Lesnar’s music hit, returning to WWE television for the first time in two years.
