Brock Lesnar WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 Status Update

Brock Lesnar WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 Status Update WWE

The status of Brock Lesnar for the February 18 WWE Elimination Chamber 2023 event looks to have been revealed.

On the January 30 episode of Raw, it was announced that this year’s men’s Elimination Chamber match would be for Austin Theory’s United States Championship, since Cody Rhodes has already set up a match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship via winning the Royal Rumble.

Coming out of Raw, the US Title Chamber match is currently Theory defending against Seth Rollins, Bronson Reed and Johnny Gargano, with two others to be decided next week.

Next week’s qualifiers will be Angelo Dawkins vs Damian Priest, and Montez Ford vs Elias.

Obviously there’s no Brock Lesnar in that equation, but according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Daily Update, Lesnar is, at this point, “supposed to be” on the Elimination Chamber show.

Lesnar was eliminated by Bobby Lashley during the Royal Rumble, which seemingly set up a match between those two for WrestleMania, but with Lashley not involved in the US Title match either, perhaps we could be getting that sooner than expected.

After all, there have been a lot of calls for Lesnar vs GUNTHER at WrestleMania, which were only amplified by a faceoff in the Rumble, so it’s always possible plans were changed.

There was also the recent revelation that Steve Austin had at one point been offered a match against Lesnar for WrestleMania, so perhaps that’ll come into play.

We’ll let you know when anything gets confirmed, but as of now, we know Lesnar is scheduled for the Chamber show in some capacity, and Lashley seems to be freed up as a potential opponent.

The women’s Elimination Chamber match this year will decide who challenges Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania since Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley chose to challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown title.

So far, qualified for the women’s Chamber are Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Nikki Cross and Liv Morgan.
