For those wondering, the WWE Royal Rumble 2025 status of Brock Lesnar is confirmed ahead of the show tonight.
Yesterday, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed an amended lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis, expanding on the initial suit that was filed in January 2024.
Lesnar was planned for the 2024 Royal Rumble a year ago, but was pulled out of it after he was referenced as a “former WWE and UFC Champion” in that original suit, and hasn’t been on WWE TV since then.
He was replaced in that Rumble by Bron Breakker at last-minute, who ended up doing exactly what Lesnar was planned to do because it was too late to change anything that was planned.
Despite him not appearing on any WWE shows, there have been a few recent instances of him being referenced in promos, but usually via nickname or other alternative phrasing that isn’t outright saying his name.
He is also still listed as a member of the current WWE roster on the company’s official website.
The update from the amended lawsuit is that rather than just being referenced under the “former WWE and UFC Champion” label, Brock Lesnar is outright named among the allegations.
PWInsider Elite reports that there has been “zero talk” of Lesnar appearing in tonight’s 2025 Rumble, and Fightful Select states that Lesnar is not at the show and has not been discussed.
