Brock Lesnar WWE WrestleMania 42 Planned Opponent Update WWE

With Brock Lesnar having returned at the Royal Rumble, an update has emerged on plans for WWE WrestleMania 42.

This year’s WWE Royal Rumble took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on January 31 and would see Roman Reigns victorious in the titular men’s match.

Entrant 22 would be Brock Lesnar, who would go on to eliminate Rey Fenix, Ilja Dragunov and Oba Femi, being thrown over the top rope by Cody Rhodes and LA Knight.

While Roman Reigns is heading to WrestleMania 42 to face CM Punk for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, plans have now been revealed involving Lesnar.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, as of late January, Lesnar was internally listed as facing LA Knight.

Dave Meltzer reports:

The Brock Lesnar direction for Raw is likely to be teased at the 2/23 Raw in Atlanta when he returns.

There was a tease at the Royal Rumble of Oba Femi, and after the Rumble we were only told that it was not a sure thing yet.

We do know that in the lineup in late January for the show, that Lesnar was listed as facing LA Knight.

But in the Rumble, nothing memorable was done in that direction while the Lesnar-Femi face-off was set up to get a big reaction and actually got the biggest reaction of the show except for Brie Bella.

Oba Femi has recently addressed the possibility of a match against Brock Lesnar following their face off during the men’s Royal Rumble match.
