Brodie Lee Tribute Show Announced For AEW Dynamite

As a result of the tragic passing of Brodie Lee (real name Jon Huber), Tony Khan has announced that this week’s AEW Dynamite will be a tribute show. Khan announced a series of matches intended to honour Brodie’s memory.

Here is Khan’s message from earlier today:

Khan also announced the matches that will take place on Dynamite. As would be expected, members of the Dark Order will be used predominantly throughout the show. Here are the announced matches for the show:

This week’s Dynamite was intended to be the first of a two-part New Year’s Smash special. As of this writing, it has not been announced whether or not the previously announced matches for the show will be taking place.

Wardlow vs. Jake Hager, Kenny Omega vs. Rey Fenix, and Hikaru Shida vs. Abadon were the announced matches for this week’s show. Given the five tribute matches announced for the show, it seems unlikely that everything will be able to make it onto the show. However, that is merely speculation.

Currently the announced matches for the Brodie Lee tribute show:

  • Cody Rhodes, Orange Cassidy & 10 vs. Team Taz
  • Young Bucks & Colt Cabana vs. Matt Hardy & Private Party
  • Hangman Page, John Silver & Alex Reynolds vs. MJF, Santana & Ortiz
  • Anna Jay & Tay Conti vs. Britt Baker & Penelope Ford
  • Lance Archer, Evil Uno & Stu Grayson vs. Eddie Kingston, The Butcher & The Blade
