On night two of Fyter Fest, Brodie Lee will team with Dark Order stablemate Stu Grayson and Colt Cabana to take on the trio of Frankie Kazarian, Christopher Daniels and Scorpio Sky, collectively known as SCU.
This comes after Lee teamed with the aforementioned Colt Cabana to defeat the team of Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss on last week’s episode of AEW: Dynamite.
Ever since becoming the leader of The Dark Order in March, Brodie has been doing some fantastic work. For what its worth, his AEW World title match with Jon Moxley at Double or Nothing has been one of my favourites of 2020 so far.
It had been widely reported that Brodie Lee wasn’t supposed to be the original leader of The Dark Order, but this has now seemingly been confirmed by former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho.
Speaking on his Talk is Jericho podcast, here’s what Le Champion had to say on the matter:
“I think right off the bat, the Bucks were like, we want, I think the original plan was Marty Scurll to be the leader of the Dark Order, and then they wanted Matt Hardy, which then morphed of course to Luke Harper. So I think that you were out of the equation because they had other guys in mind.”
Many people speculated that Matt Hardy would be the eventual leader of The Dark Order, but he ended up debuting on the same show as Brodie Lee in a different storyline.
You can check out Louis Dangoor’s interview with Brodie Lee below where he speaks about not being the originally planned leader of the faction.
