You might forgive Brody King for feeling pretty lonely in the House of Black, following Malakai Black’s apparent departure and more recently, Buddy Matthews’ announcement to step away from AEW.
The AEW star has however asserted his plans to remain at the promotion.
Following recent developments that Buddy Matthews may be “done” with AEW, it was easy to speculate if King would follow suit and jump ship with the rest of his faction.
Instead, the star made it clear he had no intention to leave by tweeting a gif taken from the film The Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, based on the life of Jordan Belfort, with the caption “I’m not leaving.”
Well, that seems clear enough.
It is unclear what exactly the future will hold for Brody King going forward without his alliance. Of course, he still has Julia Hart, another House of Black member, to keep him company in AEW for now.
Malakai Black recently confirmed that he had asked AEW for his release while Buddy Matthews revealed this weekend that he would be stepping away from AEW when he addressed the crowd after a Fight Life Pro Wrestling event.
It has been reported that the two departures are at least somewhat motivated by a wish to return to WWE in order to be on the same promotion as their partners.
Malakai Black is married to ‘Queen’ Zelina Vega, while Buddy Matthews is dating Judgment Day’s Rhea Ripley.
