Earlier today, it was speculated that Matt Hardy might be bringing back his Broken character to WWE. Hardy has been posting videos on his #FreeTheDelete YouTube channel.
In the latest video, Hardy returned to his Broken character from the TNA/Impact Wrestling Days. Hardy would tweak his character to Woken Matt Hardy in WWE.
WrestleTalk would Tweet the story out via our Twitter account. Matt Hardy would respond to a fan’s tweet about the Broken Character.
I own #BROKEN Matt, #BrotherNero & all the characters & rights to EVERYTHING in the #BROKEN Universe. It goes wherever I go.
— MATT HARDY (@MATTHARDYBRAND) November 5, 2019
While nothing specific was said, the comment about it goes wherever I go could indicate that Hardy is considering taking his talents elsewhere. Hardy won a dispute with Impact Wrestling and Anthem to get the Broken Character when the two entities parted ways.
Impact is a very different company than it was when Hardy was there before. Hardy also has worked in Ring of Honor and could be open to going back there.
Of course, anytime anyone says anything that could be construed as leaving, everyone immediately jumps to AEW. In the case of Matt Hardy, it is no secret Hardy and The Young Bucks have a mutual respect for one another.
Hardy has not been used much in the last year and hasn’t been seen on TV since his brother’s arrest. Hardy is definitely creative and deserves a shot to be on TV instead of sitting at home.
