Former NXT Champion Bron Breakker has named the WWE star he believes he will stand across the ring from in several future WrestleMania main event matches.
Having rapidly ascended WWE’s ranks in a short amount of time, second generation star Bron Breakker is someone who many believe will be the company’s next top star.
Given his success at just 25-years-old, Breakker was asked on an appearance on the Stick to the Wrestling Podcast, whether he feels he will eventually compete in the main event of WrestleMania.
Bron Breakker responded:
“I’m so driven and so goal-oriented and focused on my craft and trying to evolve and be great and trying to learn and take in the knowledge that I’m being taught and implement it in the way that I would….
“So yeah, 100 percent, one day, I will main event WrestleMania.”
Breakker would also name-drop another of WWE’s future stars, NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, as someone he anticipates facing off with at the Showcase of the Immortals, adding:
“I’m sure it’ll be with Carmelo Hayes on more than one occasion.”
It has been speculated that a main roster call-up isn’t too far in the future of the second-generation star, with Breakker burning through much of his NXT checklist at such a rapid pace, becoming NXT Champion for the first time just months after his debut on WWE TV in September 2021.
Breakker elaborated on his time as NXT Champion, and how that gave him the tools and responsibility to set him up for the future:
“I learned a lot of things. Man. I was so brand new to the business. I still am. I don’t know what it was. I can’t remember what it was, but it was 6 or 7 months.
“And when I became the NXT Champion, I just learned a lot of great things. I learned how to be a leader. I learned how to lead by example.
“Just be a good listener. Listen to these veterans and the older guys who have been around and learn.
“Just take in all the knowledge I can and try to learn as much as possible. Which was pivotal, I think, in my learning process and stuff during that time.”
Speaking of veterans, Breakker will stand across the ring with a long-tenured WWE star at the upcoming NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event on September 30, when he faces off against Baron Corbin.
One match no longer set for the event is the Dominik Mysterio’s NXT North American Title defence against Mustafa Ali, as the challenger was released from WWE on Thursday, September 21.
Mysterio recently commented on the match and his No Mercy plans, click here to read on.
