Following the August 12 edition of Raw, Bron Breakker has commented on his first WWE Intercontinental Title defence.

At SummerSlam 2024, Bron Breakker defeated Sami Zayn to win the Intercontinental Championship. This win marked Breakker’s first title on the WWE main roster.

On the August 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, Breakker defeated Zayn once again in a two out of three falls match to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Speaking to TalkSport, Bron Breakker was asked if he thinks 2024 is his year. On having a lot of work to do, he answered:

“I think I have a lot of work to do. I have a lot of people’s respect to gain, in the locker room and stuff as well. It’s still early.”

“I think this is the year of my ascension or rise to becoming a main player, but we’ll see.”

Breakker also won the NXT Tag Team Championships alongside Baron Corbin earlier this year. After losing the gold, Bron was drafted to Monday Night Raw in May.
