Bronson Reed On Whether He’d Rather Join Raw Or SmackDown

Bronson Reed has discussed his recent main roster tryout matches, noting which WWE brand he’d prefer to join following his time on NXT.

A report recently noted that Bronson Reed was on WWE’s list to be called up. Speaking on El Brunch De WWE, Reed discussed his recent tryout match on Main Event against Drew Gulak.

When asked whether he’d prefer to wrestle for Raw and SmackDown, Reed said:

“I feel great. I think it’s another opportunity to get more eyes on The Colossal Bronson Reed so I got to wrestle Drew Gulak and I hit my Tsunami Splash and beat him, one, two, three so feeling very happy about it.

“I am the North American Champion of NXT and I’m happy to continue to defend that and be in NXT but, if the powers that be have me on Raw or SmackDown, I’m happy to show up and keep hitting that Tsunami Splash as many times as possible.

“I think both (Raw & SmackDown) have benefits but if I had to choose, if I had to leave the black and gold NXT, I’d probably say the blue brand. I would say Friday Night SmackDown.”

This interview took place before the most recent episode of NXT, when Reed lost the North American Championship to Isaiah “Swerve” Scott. Reed took to social media to react to his title loss.

Current NXT Champion Karrion Kross has also recently received a Main Event tryout match. It has been speculated that Nikki Cross’ name change to Nikki A.S.H was due to the imminent call-up of Kross.
