There has been an update on Bryan Danielson’s AEW status amid a continued television absence since October’s WrestleDream event.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp Bryan Danielson was backstage at AEW Dynamite this week, and is continuing to work in the company despite the fact his talent contract has expired.
Bryan Danielson lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream in October 2024, spurring forth the Jon Moxley and Death Riders storyline that is heavily featured on current AEW programming.
While Danielson has been absent television ever since, he did make an appearance at the kickoff event for AEW All In: Texas, set for Saturday, July 12, 2025 live from Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
At that event Danielson also admitted that he didn’t know whether he’d ever return to the ring again.
Elsewhere from the report, a note regarding a potentially “emotional” storyline that is set to play out on this week’s pre-taped edition of Collision.
