Bryan Danielson isn’t sure about the extent to which he’ll be able to utilise his famous ‘Yes!’ chant in AEW following his big debut.
Speaking at the post-All Out media scrum, Bryan admitted the ‘Yes!’ chant might not be something he does going forward.
You obviously can’t trademark a chant and stop the crowd from doing it, but it’s likely that WWE has some kind of trademark on it being used for merch, so things like ‘Yes! Yes! Yes!’ t-shirts are probably out of the question.
Then the question is, if you can’t make merch out of it, what’s the point of doing it? So perhaps the ‘Yes Movement’ is a thing of the past.
Bryan said:
“I don’t know, we’re gonna have to talk about what I can do and what I cannot do. One of the things I do try to respect, because like I said, I appreciate the people I worked for before, and respecting their intellectual property and that sort of thing. So, making sure that I don’t contradict any of that. The fans doing it is great, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna do it.”
