Following his title win, a request made by current AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson for his All In match has been revealed.
At AEW All In London, Bryan Danielson defeated Swerve Strickland to keep his career alive and win the AEW World Championship.
On the call for the main event was WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, who was requested to be there by Danielson personally.
In a new interview with Undisputed, Bryan Danielson revealed that he requested Jim Ross to be on commentary for the All In AEW World Title match. He said:
“I asked for Jim to be part of the match,”
“He signed me to my first wrestling contract in 2000. I wanted him to be part of the call. Jim is still fantastic.”
“I know he’s had a lot of health issues and I’m sure getting to London was no picnic, but it meant a lot to have him there.”
“I have also developed a really strong friendship with Tony Schiavone, so it meant the world to me that both of them could call the match.”
Bryan Danielson has since defeated Jack Perry to retain the AEW World Title at AEW All Out. Post match, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli turned on Danielson with Moxley suffocating Bryan with a plastic bag.
Danielson is scheduled to face Nigel McGuinness on the September 25 Grand Slam edition of AEW Dynamite.
