Bryan Danielson has shared a new update on his potential in-ring return, discussing the idea of knowing when to walk away.
Danielson last wrestled at the October 2024 AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view, losing the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley in the final match of his full-time career.
There has been some uncertainty surrounding Danielson’s in-ring future since then, which the former champion has now commented on.
Speaking with JNMEDIA’s Jamal Niaz, Bryan Danielson noted that he isn’t ruling out having another match, but he wants to be able to live comfortably.
Noting that he’d be satisfied with his career if it was over, he said:
“My neck is wrecked. There’s not no chance, but it’s risk vs reward at this point. I want to be able to live comfortably with my wife and kids.
“One of the things our society has a problem with is realizing when enough is enough, and I’m very satisfied with my career, and I think enough is enough.”
When asked if there’s anything or anyone that could get him to return to the ring, Danielson noted that he always enjoyed wrestling at Butlins holiday resorts in the UK, noting:
“What would have me come back is, in my young days I used to wrestle in Butlins…
“We’d just tour and tour and tour. I would come back for a Butlins run.”
Jon Moxley is set to defend the AEW World Championship against Samoa Joe at AEW Beach Break.
