A top AEW name has opened up about their involvement in the creative process and working closely with Tony Khan.
During the post-Double or Nothing media scrum, Bryan Danielson spoke about his positive experience working for AEW saying:
“I’m really proud of the work that we’re doing here and proud of the work that I’ve been able to do.”
He would talk about the impression that the younger members of the roster have left on him and how he’s been proud to see them grow in the “year and a half” he’s been in the company.
Danielson would also reveal his involvement in the AEW creative process and the conversations he has with Tony Khan, stating:
“I love working with Tony and I love working in AEW. It’s a lot of fun. Because sometimes before I even got here, Tony and I would talk on the phone sometimes for like an hour and a half to two hours and we would just be talking about things and wrestling and that sort of thing.
“I think we have very similar, like we have a lot of similar ideas on wrestling. Sometimes he says things to me and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s a great idea.’
“We riff off each other really well. It doesn’t even….when we do it, It doesn’t even feel like work. It’s like when you love wrestling, you know it’s uh….yeah, stuff like that is fun.”
It was recently reported that Bryan Danielson will be “contributing” to creative for AEW Collision.
The new show is set to debut on Saturday June 17 and is widely expected to feature the return of CM Punk.
