In the main event of AEW All In London 2024 there was a big moment as Bryan Danielson captured the AEW World Championship for the first time.
Danielson’s career was on the line in title vs career match against Swerve Strickland.
With Danielson bleeding, Swerve Strickland taunted Danielson’s family at ringside and marked the on-screen debuts of Birdie and Buddy Danielson with their mom, Brie Garcia Danielson, formerly known as Brie Bella.
They would factor into the story throughout the match, most poignantly during a series of strikes from Strickland to Danielson where the latter could be seen mouthing, “I love you so much,” to his kids.
With all of London and his family behind him, Danielson was able to capture Strickland in a LeBell Lock in the center of the ring, but when Strickland wouldn’t fall, he instead seemingly broke a finger of Strickland and applied another hold to which Swerve tapped out.
Bryan Danielson became the new AEW World Champion at AEW All In London 2024, and his career will officially continue, although seemingly not on a full-time basis.
Danielson blew a kiss to his kids as Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta went to pick them up and brought them to the ring for a celebration with Bryan, Brie, Birdie, Buddy, Claudio, Yuta and PAC all celebrating together.
