WWE/AEW
There have been updates regarding recent discussion surrounding the AEW contracts of Buddy Matthews and Malakai Black.
Matthews and Black are both members of the House of Black in AEW, having previously worked for WWE.
Clarifications regarding the contract statuses of both men have emerged via PWInsider.
While details have remained relatively vague, PWInsider was able to confirm that Buddy Matthews “signed a new deal with the company this past February”.
However, no further details regarding the length or terms of that new deal are known, just that it was signed in February.
Also, PWInsider was told that Malakai Black is currently signed to an AEW deal “that takes him into 2025”.
The report goes on to state that there have been “numerous claims over the last year or so” that Black was on his way out of the company, but that has reportedly “never been correct”.
Elsewhere in AEW news, Dynamite is set to feature the signature Blood & Guts 2024 match tonight from Nashville, Tennessee.
The match will feature Team Elite (the Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry and Hangman Adam Page) taking on Team AEW (Swerve Strickland, Mark Briscoe, Max Caster, Anthony Bowens and Darby Allin).
