Buddy Murphy Teases AEW Casino Ladder Match Appearance

Buddy Matthews (fka Buddy Murphy) has teased his involvement with the Casino Ladder Match set for the October 6 episode of AEW Dynamite.

On Twitter, Matthews posted a joker playing card emoji:

PAC, Andrade El Idolo, Jon Moxley, Lance Archer, Orange Cassidy and Matt Hardy were previously announced for the Casino Ladder Match. Matthews’ tweet seems to tease an appearance as the surprise ‘Joker’ entrant, who will also participate in the bout.

The winner of the contest will earn an AEW World Championship shot against champion Kenny Omega. The only Casino Ladder Match to date took place at Double Or Nothing 2020 and was won by Brian Cage, who made his AEW debut in the match as the ‘Joker’ entrant.

Ruby Soho made her AEW debut at All Out in the Casino Battle Royale, winning the match, also as the ‘Joker’.

Matthews was released by WWE earlier this year on June 2.
