Butch Looks A Lot Like Pete Dunne On SmackDown

Is Pete Dunne back? Find out why the former moniker of the current WWE star known as ‘Butch’ was trending tonight on Twitter.

One of the pre-taped matches at tonight’s WWE SmackDown taping set to air next week got fans talking due to one of the wrestler’s attire.

While his entrance graphics very clearly still said ‘Butch,’ the exceptional former NXT UK Champion was spotted wearing his ‘Pete Dunne’ gear.

After falling victim to the Vince McMahon refresh upon graduating to the main roster, the former Pete Dunne was given the moniker Butch and a decidedly more Scrappy Doo-esq demeanor.

The pre-taped edition of WWE SmackDown filmed last week as talent are already be in the UK in preparation for tomorrow’s Clash at the Castle premium live event.

Elsewhere on the episode, Ronda Rousey revealed that she was free from suspension however promptly threw her status back into question after assaulting WWE official Adam Pearce.

In Rousey’s defense, Pearce had just called her, “the biggest b***h I’ve ever met,” shortly before getting slapped into an armbar.

WWE is preparing for their first stadium show in the UK in over 30 years set to kick off Saturday, September 3, 2022.

As the show is in the UK, there is a special start time of 1 pm EST and 10am PST.
