WWE has confirmed the first two matches of the NXT Global Heritage Invitational Tournament, set to take place on this week’s edition of NXT.
On Tuesday’s (August 29) show, the 8-man tournament to determine the next challenger for the NXT Heritage Cup will begin.
SmackDown star Butch will be in action in Group A, against Charlie Dempsey.
Many fans have taken to social media to react to this match announcement, which will see William Regal’s son face off against the Brawling Brute.
WWE has also announced that Joe Coffey will battle Nathan Frazer in a Group B match.
The tournament will consist of two groups, A and B, which have four stars in each.
The two groups will compete in round robin tournament action, with every star facing the other three in their respective groups.
The two group winners after a round robin stage will compete in a final, and the winner of that will challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy.

Group A
– Butch
– Tyler Bate
– Charlie Dempsey
– Axiom
Group B
– Joe Coffey
– Nathan Frazer
– Duke Hudson
– Akira Tozawa
