NXT 2.0 tonight (July 19) saw the in-ring action kick off between Cameron Grimes and JD McDonagh as their feud continues to heat up.
The occasion marked JD McDonagh’s NXT 2.0 in-ring debut as mid-way through the match, Joe Gacy appeared to peer on.
While there was hard hitting action from both men, coming back from the picture in picture commercial break, McDonagh had taken over the offense and continued to apply pressure to Grimes’ left knee.
The crowd was going insane for Cameron Grimes as the final third kicked off with both men laid out and sinister Joe Gacy smirking from the NXT 2.0 balcony but it was finally McDonagh who pulled off the victory, picking up the pinfall.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, a massive 20 woman battle royal to determine the #1 contender for the NXT 2.0 Women’s Championship and titles are on the line tonight as Pretty Deadly challenge Briggs and Jensen in a big USA vs. Britain showdown over the NXT UK Tag Team Championships.
The show kicked off with a recap of the heartbreaking recent heel turn which saw Cora Jade viciously attack her fellow NXT Women’s tag team champion, Roxanne Perez.
