Tonight at NXT TakeOver 35, Cameron Grimes faces off with LA Knight for the Million Dollar Championship. If Grimes won, he became the champion. If Knight won, then Ted Dibiase would become Knight’s butler.
The stipulation made the outcome of the match pretty obvious. In the end, NXT ended up going the obvious direction and Cameron Grimes is the new Million Dollar Champion.
Grimes debuted some new Ted Dibiase inspired gear during the match. The match was back and forth until The Million Dollar Man himself got involved.

Grimes and Dibiase both locked in The Million Dollar Dream sleeper at different times. Grimes hit the Double Foot Stomp and pinned Knight.
It will be interesting to see where Grimes goes from here. He’s still very young and definitely talented, but he doesn’t exactly fit the mold of the new vision for NXT in terms of size. However, his character work is fantastic.
