Carlito First Match Since WWE Departure Announced WWE

Carlito’s first match since his WWE departure earlier this month has now been officially confirmed.

On Sunday, June 1, former WWE United States & Intercontinental Champion Carlito announced that he was set to depart the company, after they opted not to renew his contract.

His exit was then official two weeks later, with his profile then removed from WWE’s roster page earlier this week.

With Carlito now officially a free agent, his first match back on the independent scene has now been confirmed, as the former Judgment Day member has been announced for Big Time Wrestling’s event in Charlotte, NC on July 25.

Carlito is set to face-off with fellow WWE alum Matt Riddle at the event, which will be held at Truist Field – the home of minor league baseball outfit the Charlotte Knights.

Also appearing on the show will be WWE Hall of Famer Sting, who’s currently in the middle of his ‘2025 of Never’ tour.

One week after his match at Big Time Wrestling’s event, Carlito will be making another appearance at Wrestlecon in Newark, New Jersey during SummerSlam weekend.

Shortly following his WWE contract expiry, Carlito stated that he didn’t think Triple H was a fan of his on-screen character – for full details follow this link here.
