Carlito References ‘Rumors’ Ahead Of Potential WWE Return

Former WWE star Carlito addressed ‘rumors’ following the intriguing finish to his match at an independent event.

At Friday’s (June 16) HOG Plata O Plomo show, Carlito unsuccessfully challenged for Matt Cardona’s HOG Heavyweight Championship.

While fans initially believed that Carlito won the gold, the decision was ultimately reversed, with Carlito disqualified, and Cardona retaining his title.

Following the match, Carlito confirmed some ‘rumors’ that he heard about himself… only the crowd were thinking of other rumors.

Carlito stated:

“The rumors are true… that I taught El Hijo Del Vikingo all of his moves.” 

While this was obviously a joke, many saw this as Carlito acknowledging actual rumors about his WWE return.

Per Dave Meltzer, Carlito cancelled his July 15 booking with Devon Nicholson’s Great North Wrestling promotion, with the reason being that he has re-signed with WWE.

Another major clue has emerged on Carlito’s potential return, with SEScoops receiving confirmation from Great North Wrestling that Carlito told them he was heading back to WWE.

Carlito made a surprise appearance at the May 6 WWE Backlash premium live event, siding with Bad Bunny and the LWO to a huge ovation.
