Latest On Carlito Wrestling Future Following WWE Backlash 2023 WWE

Former WWE star Carlito provided an update on his wrestling future, ahead of his surprise appearance at Backlash 2023.

While Carlito would be joined by fellow Puerto Rican WWE alumni Savio Vega to assist Bad Bunny in his  San Juan Street Fight match against Damian Priest, the future of Carlito is one of greater interest due to his incredible physical condition.

The 44-year-old spoke with Metro just days prior to Backlash, potentially dropping a major hint at his current availability and willingness to return to the company.

Carlito told Metro:

“Yeah, I’m open to whatever, any good offer from anywhere, it doesn’t matter.

“Thing is, nobody calls me so I don’t sit by the phone either.

“If something comes up, great, if not I keep doing what I’m doing.”

Interestingly this is the second time in recent years that fans have called for a Carlito WWE return, following an impressive cameo during the 2021 Royal Rumble, a full-time return was similarly speculated.

Carlito is still active on the independent scene, with the popular star most recently wrestling for MAW in late-April.

With the help of Carlito, Vega and the rest of the Latino World Order, Bunny would score the victory over Priest, winning with his ‘Bunny Destroyer’ piledriver.

Given the massive success of Backlash, a WWE star has pitched another international location for a future WWE premium live event, which you can read more about right here.
