A WWE star has discussed the challenge of getting back in the ring upon her return.
To start May 2023, WWE’s Carmella and Corey Graves revealed they are expecting their first child together.
The couple found out they were expecting in March when the former SmackDown Women’s Champion disappeared from WWE programming and Carmella is due in November.
Speaking with The Messenger, Mella described her time away from WWE as “crazy” after nearly a decade with the company. Adding that she is looking forward to the challenge of getting back in the ring after giving birth, she said:
“I love working for WWE, I love performing and it’s just such a passion of mine. I’ve done it for 10 years so it’s so crazy to be away from it.”
“To have a baby and then go back to work in an area that’s just so physical and so demanding — I’m really looking forward to that challenge.”
Carmella last competed in a WWE ring at a March 12 house show. She was scheduled for live events to team with Chelsea Green, but was replaced by Sonya Deville.
The card for WWE Night of Champions 2023 on Saturday, May 27 is as follows:
World Heavyweight Championship – Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins vs. AJ Styles
Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship – Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn (c) vs. Roman Reigns & Solo Sikoa
